Venturing into Mortgages:

Driven by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to expand his horizons, Richard ventured into the realm of mortgage brokerage, obtaining his license and delving into the intricacies of the industry. While his tenure as a licensed mortgage agent was brief, it equipped him with invaluable insights and a deeper understanding of financial dynamics, enriching his ability to cater to diverse client needs.

Education and Expertise:

Richard’s dedication to continuous learning is evident in his educational pursuits, including his completion of the Canadian Mortgage Brokers Association Ontario (CMBA) Mortgage Agent Continuing Education Course. Coupled with his Red Seal endorsement and trade certification for automotive service technicians, Richard’s multifaceted skill set positions him as a formidable asset to our team and clients alike.

Dick’s entrepreneurial journey began in his early twenties when he ventured into the culinary realm, owning and operating an acclaimed Caribbean restaurant in Toronto. Through dedication to quality and service, his establishment garnered widespread acclaim, earning accolades such as “Best Caribbean Food in Toronto” for over 15 years.

• Owned and operated an award-winning Caribbean restaurant in Toronto for 33 years.

Community Champion:

Beyond culinary excellence, Dick’s impact extended to community activism and philanthropy. As a board member and chairman of the Parkdale Business Improvement Area (BIA), he spearheaded initiatives to revitalize the local landscape, fostering positive change and opportunities for growth. His philanthropic endeavors, including donations to various local initiatives, underscore his deep-rooted commitment to giving back and uplifting those in need.

• Parkdale Business Improvement Area (BIA) for 10 years, where he was the chairman of it for 5 years. This is a volunteer opportunity where board members and the chairman work with local businesses and political figures to create positive change to the area.
